PBS Performance at Te Oro

This morning I watched PBS do their performance on my computer. It was cool to watch it at the same time as the other kids who watched it at Te Oro. Lots of kids in our class were watching it on the TV with Mrs Anderson. I think the PBS kids spoke and sung nicely.

Food Tech mince pie - Maata

Today at tech we finished making our mince and cheese pies. Firstly we reheated our frozen mince filling from last week. Next we had to roll out two different types of pastry, one for the pie and one for the top. Then we cut the pastry to fit into the foil pie dishes and filled them with mince and cheese. We then put the pastry lid on and made a design on the top with pastry. I made a letter M for my name. Then we brushed the top with egg to make the pastry go a nice golden brown. We then put them in the oven to cook. They tasted delicious. 

Camp Art

This is my camp art. It shows my beautiful colouring. I had to think carefully about what colours I used, and had to include the trees rivers, birds and waterfalls. These were the things I saw at camp and my picture shows most of them. 

Learning to write clear instructions

For writing this morning we were learning to write a set of instructions. The important thing to remember is to give clear, precise instructions in time order so other people can easily follow them.

We got together in pairs and had to follow instructions from our partner to draw the same thing as they did, without looking at their picture.

Camp Collage

This is our Collage about camp. We had fun doing activities is the high ropes and balloon race. Orienteering is my favorite sports to play the, Activity we were playing chariot they have to use the ropes and we had to dark down. We had to go into a cave and walk back to camp. My group was doing archery and survival animal and Relay Races and Scavenger Hunt we had to work in pairs. We had to do Camp Concert my group was singing and having milo at the same time and Night Walking and Blind fold walk and pools was fun. When we wake up we have to eat and brush our teeth
