PBS 2016 Collage

This Collage represents our learning journy in 2016. It is a reflection of some of the things I enjoyed doing. This year we had lots of opportunities to work together collaboratively which I really liked. We worked hard but also had a fun year.

Hickory Dickory Dock rhyme

Today I worked with Mrs Chris. We read the poem Hickory Dickory Dock, then we changed some words to make the rhyme different. We then created a DLO of my rhyme about the snake.

Rocket

Today LS2 went to Tamaki College. We finished making our  rockets. it was really cool because Ms Ferguson was flying the drone and videoing the students  flying the rockets. Sadly, I didn't get to fly my rocket, but maybe next year I can fly my rocket. We really enjoyed our day.

The Shake Out from The Outlook for Someday on Vimeo.
Congratulations to Latham, Sylis, Jasmine, Reon, Daniel. You have made a very informative and interesting video. I liked the way you showed us what we need to do if there was an earthquake. You all did a great job.

Rocket Follow up DLO

On Friday we went to Tamaki College to learn how to make  Rockets  with Mr Dunn.  We began by watching a video on how to make a straw rocket, then we used two straws and paper fins to make our own. We had a challenge to see whose rocket could go the longest distance. After that we went on to make a 3D rocket out of cardboard, then we launched our rocket.

Leader nominations

This morning the Yr 7 students had to nominate our school leaders  for next year. We talked about what is needed to make a good leader. A leader needs to be someone who can lead by example and is  confident. They need to look smart in their  uniform, be respectful and be a good role model.
