High ropes

High ropes

My legs felt shaky as I started my climb up the ladder. I could hear the birds and the sound of my heart pounding. All my teammates were cheering me on. I looked up and felt scared, I wanted to stop but I thought “ I can do this !” Finally I reached the top and nervously stepped onto the beam.

I could hear clapping and cheering. I had made it! I felt so happy and was so proud of myself. I enjoyed the high ropes at camp.

This is my Recount of how I felt when I was doing the high ropes at camp. It was exciting but also very scary. I'm pleased I got to do the high ropes. I am proud of myself 

Auckland have been converse why

 Today Joshua, Maata and I started this DLO. The question that we had too ask our self was, People living Auckland have been ask to conserve water but why. Our DLO Shows our learning and thinking about the question we were given. It took a little bit of time to figure out what we were going to write about but in the end we figured it in the end. I have always loved inquiry. So tell me how can people living in Auckland conserve water and how?

Bush Safety

Today we had to make a DLO on bush safety. This DLO is for our camp because next week we are going to kokako lodge for camp. This presentation shows 5 simple bush safety steps. In this activity I worked with 

Jorja. I hope you enjoy reading our presentation.

Food Tech

Today at tech we made Quiche. I worked with Jorja and she made the pastry with flour, butter and water. I mixed the egg and cream together and chopped the bacon and onion. When the pastry was made we rolled it out and put it in the foil tin. Then we added our bacon and onion and poured the mixed egg and cream over the top. We then sprinkled half a cup of cheese on top. Then they went to the oven.  I can now make this at home with my family. 

Tech

Today the year 8's and year 7 's we started. Tech at tamaki college the year 8's made toast and Bacon they put in pineapple and Spaghetti and cheese and we cut 10 slices of bread and we used the cupcake pans and we mixed it with a wood spoon we slice the ham with a knife and we used a cardboard to slice the ham. And we had fun making some toast sandwich and we enjoyed eating our toast 

Futsal

Yesterday LS2  we were playing sports called Sport we played. Yesterday we played the sports with. Martin we first play flag tag king queen ring game. After that we played a number game 

Care Values

This morning the year 7's and year 8's worked together in groups to discuss the Care values which are Confidence, Attitude, Respect, Excellence and Innovation. Our group had to demonstrate examples of each value, and these are shown in the photos. As year 7's and year 8's we are role models for the school and get the opportunity to achieve Care Awards by completing tasks for each value.
